Thanks to the charm of its streets and the sweetness of life, several artists have set up their workshops in this small village surrounded by orchards and vineyards, the southernmost of the Ardèche. In Saint-Just-d’Ardèche, the Muse Polymnie inspires an amateur rhetoric artist who doesn’t fail to arouse curiosity with his paintings, covering several buildings in the village. The slate roof of the Romanesque church under the current roof, the nineteenth century chapel “Notre Dame de la Salette” show evidence that the village has always been a strategic site on the Rhone. The “Pont cassé” site, literally broken bridge, vestige dating from the 18th century, rebuilt several times because of repeated floods is a local landmark. During the summer months, the sandy beach on the banks of the Ardèche becomes a paradise for locals and visitors alike.
